1)
Starting NEXT WEEK- Mountain Valley Resources will be
working from mile-marker 3 to near mile 6, start of paving at Star
City on the Mon River Rail-Trail on overhead clearing and
drainage repairs. Trail will remain OPEN but make sure equipment
operator sees you. This is in prep for a new compacted stone
surface on this section with restoration of 10ft width.
2) I will be away starting tomorrow and most of next week
camping and with spotty or no cell service. You can still report
down trees to me but expect slower response. I likely will
get info and may be able to report out but may not respond back to
you.
3)The trees reported today on the Mon River Trail have been
cleared by volunteers. Hooray for our volunteer tree crew!
Thank you also to all the volunteers working today to pick up
litter and clean-up around Greenmont Bridge aka Kerns
Crossing on Deckers Creek Trail.
4) Starting tomorrow- we will have a new formal trailhead
at Opekiska, Mon River Trail mile 24. We will have a ribbon
cutting at a later date but feel free to check it out and enjoy
it. We will be recognizing our funders and partners. Thank you
to Mountain Valley Resources for a beautiful access spot.
5)
