Position: ETL Informatica Developer

Location: Baltimore,MD

Duration: 6+months

GC and USC

 

Responsibilities: 

Under the direction of the Operations and Maintenance Manager, this individual is responsible for maintaining the Production operations, performance and maintenance for the Master Data Management (MDM) system. The ETL Engineer will support, analyze and tune complex ETL processes in the enterprise MDM Production Environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

·         ETL architecture, design, development, and implementationin a Production defect capacity

·         Support the Informatica environment operations, including, but not limited to: automation, job scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, maintenance, patches, upgrades, security, and administration

·         Coordinate multiple ETL workflows and data load processes and monitoring/administering systems performance, including on-going optimization and tuning of Informatica implementation

·         Support and enhance existing Informatica environment and developing new, complex ETL processes to support additional design, development, and deployment of the Enterprise Master Data Management system

·         Analyze and evaluating data sources, data volume, and business rules

·         Design and implement complex ETL processes

Required Education and Experience

·         Strong understanding of Master Data Management, Operational Data Store, and DW/BI concepts

·         Minimum of three years' experience with Informatica software and with implementing complex ETL solutions

·         Comprehensive proficiency with Informatica in a DB2, Oracle Database and mainframe environments

·         Experience with architecture, design, and development of ETL solutions using Informatica, release management, and performance optimization

·         Experience with troubleshooting Informatica and database-related performance issues

·         Experience in working with Mainframe environments, UNIX, Z/OS scripting

·         Expert in database concepts, logical/physical design, and development

·         Experience with handling high-volume databases (minimum of 2- 5 TB)

·         Experience in optimizing complex SQL queries 

Desired Education and Experience

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to produce and maintain documentation to support activities

·         Experience with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
