Position: Core Java Developer
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Duration: 6+ months
The candidate will work with other software engineers to define and implement new features, components, and services from specs employing Java-based technologies. This engineer will participate in requirement analysis, software development activities, software unit testing and small feature code estimation. As well, the position requires a strong and deep understanding of software development with particular expertise required in Java, JSPs, J2EE, web presentation technologies (HTML, CSS), web servers (WebLogic) and databases (Oracle preferred). The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate with developers, testers, project managers and other members of their team. The position may require leading small teams and/or providing architectural oversight to the teams. The engineer should have experience in developing high-profile projects that operate on a 24/7 basis. The candidate should have demonstrated experience resolving testing and production issues and has a track record of consistently rendering clear technical judgment.
Minimum Requirements:
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent), with strong competencies in object-oriented development, data structures, algorithms and software design and architecture.
• 5+ years experience programming Core Java, JSP and J2EE technologies.
• Coding experience using Web-presentation technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript), SQL scripting, and Unix scripting.
• Solid grasp of software development lifecycle best-practices, methods, and conventions, including but not limited to Test Driven Development, Source Code Management, Continuous Integration, Domain Driven Design, and Dependency Management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Experience in e-commerce application development.
· Experience programming with Spring, Struts or other MVC framework.
· Experience refactoring existing systems to design patterns.
· Experience with Oracle 10g or higher, Web Logic 10 or higher.
· Experience with MuleESB
