YEAR 2026: THE YEAR OF REVOLUTIONARY ACTION
The Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS), extends its revolutionary greetings to the masses of our country. As we stand on the threshold of a new year, we do not merely mark the passage of time, but we consciously prepare to seize it. Building decisively upon the concrete achievements of our previous strategic campaigns, we hereby proclaim the year 2026 as the Year of Revolutionary Action.
This declaration is not made in a vacuum. It is the direct and logical culmination of our collective work. The Year of the Cadre fortified our ranks with politically educated, disciplined, and committed revolutionaries. The Year of Mass Mobilisation succeeded in awakening, organising, and uniting the broadest sections of our people across the length and breadth of our country and in the diaspora the guidance has been revived by not only CPS activists but by many genuine activists of the forces of the pro-democracy movement in Swaziland including the international solidarity movement, enough under the conditions imposed by the current situation of our struggle.
These phases have laid an unshakable foundation. A foundation of political consciousness, organisational capacity, and mass readiness which allows the beginning of action. The preparatory stages cannot be completed without action to test and confirms work done. The hour for decisive, coordinated, and sustained action has arrived. The necessary resources and other capacities must allow us to coordinate.
The Mswati dictatorship, in its desperation, continues to intensify its exploitation and repression. The economic crisis deepens, unemployment soars, and social services collapse, while the royal oligarchy wallows in obscene luxury. The political space is suffocated, dissent is criminalized, and human rights are trampled daily, social fibre of our society is an international shame. This untenable situation cannot be resolved through petitions or appeals to the conscience of an oppressive regime. History teaches us that freedom is never bestowed; it is seized through organised mass action.
The objective conditions for revolution are ripe. The subjective factor; the conscious organisation and mobilisation of the masses for power, is what we must now bring to its fullest expression. 2026 is the year we synchronise these factors through relentless revolutionary action.
The Call to All Fronts is to Activate and Coordinate
Revolutionary action must be pervasive, sustained, and overwhelming. We issue a clarion call to activate every front of popular resistance:
The Industrial Front: Factories, plantation industries, mines, and workplaces must become fortresses of resistance. We call for the strengthening of workers committees, the intensification of strike actions, and the politicization of economic demands, linking them directly to the struggle for political freedom.
The Urban Front. Townships and cities must resonate with the people's discontent. Action committees must organize rent boycotts, eviction resistance, protests against service delivery failures, and mass demonstrations that bring economic activity to a halt. The demands of the people must take president.
The Rural Front. The people in the country side; burdened by feudal land relations and neglect, must rise. Actions must include land occupations, resist land dispossession, protests against chiefly injustices, and the blockade of roads used to transport goods to the royal elite.
The Peri-Urban Front. These zones, where the crisis of unemployment and poverty is most acute, must be hotbeds of militant community activism. We call for the formation of people's assemblies to direct local struggles.
The Diaspora Front. Comrades abroad must intensify their lobbying, exposure, and solidarity campaigns to isolate the tinkhundla regime internationally and provide material support to the internal struggle.
Crucially, these actions cannot be sporadic or isolated. Community Committees, Trade Unions, Student Organizations, and Women's Structures must function as the nerve centres for planning and coordination, ensuring our actions are strategic, mutually reinforcing, and aimed squarely at crippling the pillars of the regime.
Our actions must be guided by clear political content. The daily hardships of our people are not mere misfortunes. They are the direct products of the monarchical dictatorship. Therefore, our agitational speeches, our placards, our posters, and our slogans must perform two functions:
1. To Agitate. To articulate the people's pain, hunger, joblessness, police brutality, lack of medicine, and the arrogance of unaccountable rulers.
2. To Educate and Mobilize. To clearly point to the root cause, the tinkhundla system and to present our clear, unifying alternative.
Our core demands must echo in every action.
- An End to the Monarchical Dictatorship
- The Unbanning of All Political Parties!
- The Establishment of a Sovereign, Democratic, and People's Power!
- For a Multi-Party People's Democracy and Popular Power!
- For a People's Republic of Swaziland!
The regime will respond with violence and intimidation, it’s allies will always bring the necessary incentives. We must be prepared. We must bring along our allies of solidarity and justice. Revolutionary action requires the highest level of discipline, political clarity, and courage. Our actions must be well-planned, our ranks must remain united, and our resolve must be unbreakable. We must protect our organizations through strict adherence to security protocols and popular support. The justice of our cause and the strength of our unity are our most powerful weapons.
Let us make 2026 the year the oppressed masses of Swaziland shake the foundations of the dictatorship through their collective and mighty power. The Revolutionary Front must form up to coordinate action.
Forward to the Year of Revolutionary Action!
Forward to the People’s Republic
Forward to the Revolutionary Front
Long live the CPS!
Long live the working forces!
