FACS Program Director Update- Important

Dear FACS Teachers,
I hope this email finds you doing well- hopefully rested from your spring break and ready to take on the rest of the busy school year. As many of you know, I returned from maternity leave on March 25, 2013. While you all were working diligently in your classrooms, and volunteering to help with State CTE related events, school events, etc. I had a few things change in my life.
In October 2012, my husband accepted and began working for a power company named Cogentrix. Cogentrix owns and operates multiple power plants in the United States- everything from the typical gas turbine to boilers, and they have recently ventured in to solar. Brad is now the Plant Manager of Alamosa Solar in Alamosa, CO. He relocated to the San Luis Valley in October and drove back and forth on the weekends. I chose to stay in Denver while pregnant and tried to keep life somewhat normal for Lucien. After Beauden was born, we decided to keep our family intact, and we all relocated to Alamosa in January.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue working as the FACS Program Director while living in Alamosa. I have been approved to finish out the fiscal year which ends on June 30th. Please know that I have truly enjoyed working with many of you. Without your dedication to CO FACS many projects, curriculum, standards and much more would not have come to fruition.
As of today, I do not know when my position will be posted, however if you have an interest in being the FACS Program Director, please feel free to contact me!
