Guys, last week I took my buggy 2.0 to clean it (this is the first time I take it a part). So far I have done the front part of the car. I used the manual that came with car to put it back together but the manual it is for the race roller, so there are a few differences.

At the end of putting everything back together I noticed I had four small metal plates left on the box. Please see the picture attached, the parts that i'm talking about are within the red "square"

So the question is, should I take everything a part and re-add those small plates? Or should I just not added? Looking at the part explosion for the RTR it does show them but they are not there for the Race roller, now the race roll and the RTR have a slightly different diff case.

Thanks,
   Eduardo

if you are talking about the square pieces of metal i would definitely
put those back in those apparently hold the diff gears and shaft in
place inside the diff cup i have a 8ight t 2.0 race roller and mine
does not have those pieces in there i would put them back in there
there are alot more people on here that has more knowledge than i do
hopefully they will chime in also if you dont get it back together or
get ur question answered come to the track there are alot of 8ight
buggies out there so someone would probally help u out

Thank you guys, I finish putting everything back together last night
and I added the retainers back. I should get the car going this week.
Hopefully is going to work. It was definitely a learning expirience.

Loonie,
I was putting the radio in the car together last night but seems
like the steering is really tight. Any ideas what to check?

Basically when the engine is not running and I'm checking the steering with the remote it moves very slow, but if i'm running the car around my front street y turns very well. I don't remember if this was the case before I took it a part.

Loonie,
The car is back together, when will you have a chance to take a look to it? where should we meet?
