hyper .21 8 port

Does anyone here run a hyper .21 8 port nitro motor? Heres the deal,
Im tryin to figure out the breakin needle settings. The manual is
telling me one thing, and ofna is telling me another. The online .21
manual says something different. This is the second hyper .21 Ive had,
I tryed to break in the motor the way ofna told me to and ruined it...
It wont even think about running on the settings that the manual wants
me to run. I am hoping someone in here has some experience with this
motor, I just dont want to KILL this motor the same way I did the
other one. Ive been into rc for a long time and am no stranger to
nitro motors.. I just need to find answers so I can rip up this buggy
before it gets cold... Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks
