that there aren't many tracks left in the area..

Whats up Fanatic Yea you are right we are kinda in between tracks
right now where do you live? i am in the west chester area currently
there are 2 new tracks being built one is in new vienna that is out on
st rt 28 it is being built and ran by steve king he probably makes
some of the best tracks in the midwest the other track is being built
at tri-state hobbies and raceway it is off rt 4 in fairfield/hamilton
both tracks should be done in time for the start of the outdoor season
roughly late march early april. if you dont mind traveling they race
nitro in cols on fri and sat www.crcrc.com.....Most of the regulars
are currently are racing at the cincinnati dirt bowl www.cincinnatidirtbowl.com
we are racing mini's there is practice tuesday's starting at 4-10 and
racing every fri night starting at 7ish doors open at 4:00 we are
racing mini-t's 18-t's basically any 18th scale car/truck/buggy with
whatever battery motor tires you get it... we also race the new 16th
scale traxxas revo/slash pretty much everyone runs a revo there is a
slash or two every now and then.....Well i hope this helps you out.

I live in evendale, so just down the road from you.. I have been to
the dirt bowls website, but couldn't find any contact info so I wasn't
sure it was still open.. I guess I will look into getting a 1.16th
revo so I can come up and try out racing. I haven't raced in years! I
am really into the nitro monster trucks, but no one seems to race them
anymore. I wouldn't mind getting into truggy racing come summer. I
think the dirt bowl is fairly close to my house. So If I pick up a
1.16th revo I should just get the brushless one, and some batts and I
would be good to go for racing? I dont have a lipo charger, so would I
be competitive with just regular nimh? or should I look into a lipo
set up?

I need and what type of charger?? how many batts do you need to do a
race night?

well I think it will take a bit for the lipo set up to show up.. I
got the revo on the way.. I hope to get up to tuesday practice.. I
will be out of town next week, so maybe the following week I'll have
everything? if not I might just run the nimh pack till the lipos
arrive.

Does anyone race the 1.16th slash?? I kinda wish I had ordered a
slash, but you all say most race revo's up there right?

no nobody runs the slash they used to but almost everyone converted to
the revo you can simply run it faster and it is wayyyyyyy more stable

well I got my revo last night! Going to have to run it with the stock
battery till my lipos show up. I see you can run 2 battery packs at
the same time! Pretty cool! Looking foreward to going the the dirt
bowl to practice next tuesday.
