to CODEPINK Book Club
I participated in the last CodePink Book Club and I thought it was
wonderful. Persepolis was an amazing book. I'm so glad I learned
about it through the CodePink Book Club.

A suggestion was made on the call to organize activists to attend
"Persepolis" movie premieres in Dec. with signs and petitions. Great
idea. We're working on this now in Chicago. We're also going to make
and give out the necklaces with the pictures of Iranian children that
can be printed out from the CodePink website.

Someone on the call mentioned the passing of a city resolution in
Oakland against a U.S. military attack on Iran. Great news. I
searched information on this and have passed it on to others here in
Chicago and now we're thinking of attempting the same. Any articles
or photos from this action would be helpful if you would like to send
them to me. I was interested in how you organized demonstrations on
the day of the council vote.

Reading books like Persepolis motivates people (like myself) to take
action on important issues. The CodePink book club is a great way to
share ideas with others in CodePink from across the country.

I look forward to the next book club. The ideas for books that have
been suggested on this discussion board sound excellent.
