Just in case you're not on the COC listserve...

My goal is to have these ready in time for us to wear on the ride in
September. :-)

Please see details about sizing, etc. because we need to find out what
size samples the vendor needs to send us to try on. Bike gear can run
very small and even though there are measurements given, you really
want to try them on to see what fits most comfortably.

Hi Everyone,

I'm having some custom bike jerseys designed, that we can order for
$39 each. We just need to order a minimum of 10 jerseys.

If you think you might be interested, please fill out this survey:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dE12d0tGZDgwWE56Wk5CLUxnczV0T2c6MQ#gid=0

The design I've come up with will represent the Outing Club (and
outdoors sports) in general:

Page 5: list of possible icons

On the survey there is a chance to vote on your favorite icons.
The red will be Official Cornell Red.  The actual red part of the
design will be available soon, once I have a proof from the v-gear
artist.

These will be made from 135 gram Micro-Polyester designed to wick away
sweat and dry fast.  This material is effective in a wide range of
temperatures and works well as either your first or second layer.
They will have short sleeves, 3 rear pockets, and a ¾ hidden zipper.

Sizes are listed here: http://www.v-gear.com/Sizing
We  will get  samples to try on before we order the real thing.  The
vendor would like to know what size samples to send us.  I'll bring
the samples to a Tuesday night Outing Club meeting for everyone to try
on.

The final jerseys will be ready in time to wear for the STAP Aids Ride
for Life on September 10, 2011.

You're welcome to join us on this ride, by the way!  There will be 42,
50 or 100 mile options.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

P.S. Feel free to share this email with anyone else you know who
might not be on the COC listserve but who might want a nice shirt
representing their favorite sports...

If any of you are going to the Outing Club meeting tonight, could you
mention these jerseys in the meeting? We've got 3 people so far who
want them, and at minimum we need interest from 7 more to actually get
them.

With shipping and tax they will be about $44 each (that should be the
whole price including everything).

People need to use a measuring tape to figure out which sizes they
might fit. We need to request samples in the appropriate sizes so the
company will know what to send us to try on. The sizes according to
the chart seem to run very very small. I wear an 8 or 10 in street
clothes, but their size chart says I'm a women's 14 (3XL).

So please go to the survey site and vote on which icons you want to
see in the logo, and what sample sizes we should ask to try on...

I'll let you know as soon as we have proofs from the artist.

Cheers,

anja
