Citizens of Old Bridge, representatives submitted a list of requests
based on feedback from members who are part of the Neighborhood watch
group- the Old Bridge Guardians, to the Mayor of Old Bridge on October
22, 2010.
List of Requests for Mayor and Police Dept

Neighborhood Watch – Pending Issues as of October 22, 2010

1. Non Working street lights on Trans-OB Road (across from Carlisle
Ct) - Reported over 6 weeks ago
2. Speeding along Trans-OB Road/Oakland Intersection- Reported on
several occasions
3. Lack of light in the park on Trans OB road- Reported - we need
township to follow up with K- Hovananion to make the transfer of
ownership happen.
4. Car Stickers for Neighborhood Patrol personnel so that they can be
properly identified by residents when patrolling
5. Education of OB Police dispatchers so that they know more about
COBNJ and OBG

Proposals for 2011

1. Fully functional website with customized software application to
support Neighborhood Watch Program and facilitate effective planning,
reporting to police and follow-up
2. Mobile App for cell phone users to immediately report critical
incidents as they happen. This App can be connected to the website and
can be interfaced with schools to report bullying incidents etc
3. Solar Lights on the park on Trans Old Bridge Road
4. Speed detectors/ License plate scanners on Trans OB road
5. Mirror at the intersection of Trans-OB and Oakland Street so that
drivers can see oncoming traffic
6. Permanent meeting place for COBNJ/OBJ – once per quarter- to be
hosted by Township on the weekend.
