Postponement of Nov 5 Webinar

Bad news. My broadband connection just failed 15 minutes ago. I am
sending this message from a nearby community wifi facility. I am not
sure when the cable guy is going to come and fix the problem. So, I
am afraid the webinar tomorrow (November 5, 1200 GMT/UTC) would have
to be postponed. I'll try to re-schedule the webinar as soon as my
broadband connection is up and running again.

My broadband connection is back and sorry for having to postpone the
webinar. Not to delay the webinar any further, I am re-scheduling the
webinar to the coming Friday and starting at the same hour of the day.
The new day/time for the webinar on "Education Cluster of CK-ERP" is,
Day: November 12, 2010 (Friday)
Time: 1200 GMT/UTC

Yesterday night, my connection to the internet had failed again for a
brief moment. I suspect it was due to the heavy internet traffic after
dinner (the kids started to resume their online games) and causing my PC
failing to get an IP address from the ISP. While I had been scratching
my head, trying to prepare for a backup internet connection for the
coming webninar, I really can't find a ready solution. The nearby wifi
community service will have been close during the webinar hours (11pm
local Hong Kong time). It will be too short notice to setup an second
ISP's connection. It would also be too expensive for me to setup those
3G service based internet link.
For the moment, I plan to setup and start the webinar meeting 4 hour
before time (7pm local Hong Kong time); hopefully, obtaining the ip
address and internet connection before dinner time. I'll then check on
the internet link status every 15 minutes. If the link fails, I'll
endeavour to notify everyone via posting to this discussion group.
However, if you intend to join the webinar, you just need to join the
web meeting at the designated starting time, ie 1200 GMT/UTC, but
perhaps monitor postings to this discussion group a few hours before
the webinar.
