Dear Citizen Action Project Leaders:

Here is some information on a workshop that might be of interest to
NYC based Citizen Action groups. We strive to keep you all informed
about potentially valuable workshops though we realize they are not
relevant to all of you. Please feel free to pass along to others as
well!

Thanks,

The Citizen Action Team

Non-Profit Funding Workshop
Scott Stringer’s office is holding an instructional workshop called
“Navigating the City Grant Process” for Manhattan nonprofits on
Tuesday, April 27 at 9:30 a.m. at the Harlem State Office Building.
Representatives from the Mayors Office of Contract Services (MOCS),
New York State Charities Bureau, and the New York City Conflicts of
Interest Board (COIB) will present valuable information on nonprofit
governance and preparing for funding from local government. A special
emphasis will be on the new Manhattan Borough Needs Grant Program
application. Applications for Borough Needs grants are currently
available to nonprofits that provide critical programming to Manhattan
communities.
