There was a pair of Blue-winged Teal at White Oak Park today. I wonder if they had a failed nest somewhere nearby or what. There was also a Northern Mockingbird singing on the south side of the creek. There had been a male Dickcissel singing on the west side of the lake, but he was not seen today. Sadly, this is about as much excitement as one could hope for birding White Oak Park in late June.
