Dear SHI members,

Following the trailing mail, and as we approach the abstract deadline on 7th Feb, we especially encourage submissions from the SHI group.
We hope to see good participation at Gorlitz from all aspects of solar, heliospheric and ionospheric sciences with SKA.
Thanks and Cheers,
- Rohit & Pietro

Dear all,

Firstly, while we’re already nearing the end of the month, a belated but heartfelt Happy New Year to everyone! As we did not receive any updates from SKAO this month, our monthly meeting will take place in February 2025. The exact dates and agenda will be shared soon.

This is also a reminder to submit the abstract for the SKA science conference from 16-20 June in Gorlitz, Germany. Overall, the meeting will have common plenary sessions and parallel sessions for specific science working groups.
The SHI science working group will have parallel sessions. The SHI sciences incorporate all possible science cases at SKA radio wavelengths, such as multi-wavelength studies of solar flares,
coronal mass ejections, particle acceleration, radio wave propagation in corona, interplanetary scintillations studies, ionospheric sciences, etc...

As meeting and science book chapters are decoupled, please free to submit your abstracts highlighting exciting early SKA-SHI science with the AA* telescopes.
