Editorial Fellow – School Psychology Review - Applications Due January 15th, 2025 - Submit to SPR Editorial Fellows Application Portal
School Psychology Review announces an opening for an
Editorial Fellow position, beginning February 1, 2025. The position is
open to qualified candidates who hold the rank of Assistant Professor (or
equivalent).
Those selected as Fellows will work
closely with the journal’s Editor, Shane Jimerson, to further expand their
skills, knowledge, and talents related to editorial responsibilities. These
efforts aim to build the foundation in managing manuscripts, further refining
communication skills, and generally developing skills related to navigating
journal infrastructures.
Responsibilities include: a) serving as the action editor on select manuscripts, b) monthly communications and ZOOM meetings with the Editor, and c) involvement in journal leadership team meetings as appropriate.
Upon successful completion of the fellowship, it is anticipated that some Editorial Fellows will have opportunities to join the journal leadership team.
All applications should include the following: 1) an interest statement identifying (a. why you are seeking this opportunity, b. why you would be a stellar candidate, c. related experience related to reviewing and publishing journal articles), 2) a curriculum vitae, and 3) two letters of recommendation.
Application materials are due on the SPR Editorial Fellows Application Portal by January 15, 2025.
Applications will be reviewed by members of the School Psychology leadership team. The top candidate(s) will be notified of their selection by February
