General Description
The School Psychology Program in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Indiana University Bloomington School of Education is searching for a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor. The position will include undergraduate- and/or graduate-level teaching as well as conducting evaluations and supervising graduate psychology students in the Learning and Developmental Evaluation Clinic (LDEC). Applicants must have experience in conducting autism and other neurodevelopmental disability evaluations with early childhood, school-aged, and adolescent children. The position is a non-tenure track, full-time, 12-month appointment. This appointment is for 1 year with the potential option of a 1-year renewal.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct autism, neurodevelopmental disability (e.g., ADHD, learning disabilities), and related (e.g., behavior, psychosocial) evaluations
- Supervise psychology graduate students in conducting psychological and psychoeducational evaluations
- Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Program and Department—teaching expectations are estimated to be 4 courses per year and content will be primarily focused on graduate-level practicum supervision and undergraduate courses in the growing Child and Adolescent Mental Health Minor
- Participate in additional service activities including attending Program meetings, participating in admissions processes, and taking leadership as needed with pertinent activities
Minimum Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program
- License-eligible in Indiana as a psychologist and a health service provider in psychology (HSPP)
- Experience and training in Autism evaluations, including proficiency in the ADOS-2
- Effective oral, written, and interprofessional skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed in Indiana as a psychologist and a health service provider in psychology (HSPP)
- Licensed as a psychologist for at least 2 years
- Experience with graduate and/or undergraduate teaching
- Experience supervising graduate psychology students in clinical activities

The School Psychology Program is housed within the School of Education and the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology. The School offers over 90 graduate degrees and certificates in more than 20 disciplines. The Counseling and Educational Psychology Department offers 4 graduate program areas: School Psychology, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methodology, Human Development, and Counseling Psychology. The Department offers degree programs at the B.S., MSEd, EdS, and Ph.D. levels.
The School Psychology Program at Indiana University is accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (EdS program) and the American Psychological Association (doctoral program). The program is grounded in the scientist-practitioner model in which graduates are prepared to solve problems associated with the personal, social, and educational development of children and youth from diverse cultural, economic, ethnic, and racial backgrounds.
