The school psychology program at LSU is a small and highly collegial group. Our program has a strong commitment to empirically guided practice within a training model that emphasizes the training of school psychologists who are agents of positive change, equity, and social justice in children’s lives. The development of consultation, behavior analytic, socioemotional wellness, and intervention/treatment skills are major foci of the program. Responsibilities will include graduate and undergraduate teaching, establishment of a strong research agenda, supervision of student research, and supervision of practica training. Candidates are expected to demonstrate unambiguous potential for research excellence.

Louisiana State University is located in the Southeastern region of the state. The region offers a unique, welcoming, and fun cultural experience. With its roots in both French and Spanish heritage, and a strong influence from the Acadians, known today as Cajuns, the state has a colorful history and a flair all its own. The language, the food, the music and the varying backgrounds of its people create a fascinating melting pot of cultures that cannot be experienced elsewhere. LSU is located in the heart of Louisiana’s capital, and New Orleans and Cajun Country are just an hour’s drive from campus. If you like cultural events, music, entertainment and food, this part of the country is right for you!

Kind regards,
