Howard County Democratic Central Committee Food Drive - January 19

The Howard County Democratic Central Committee is responding to a
"call to service". This national day of service will fall on Martin
Luther King, Jr. Day, January 19, 2009 and, unlike past calls to
service, President-elect Obama will ask American to do more than just
offer a single day of service to their cities, towns and
neighborhoods. He will ask all of us to make an ongoing commitment to
our communities.

The Howard County Democratic Central Committee will be opening their
office to receive donations of canned goods and non-perishables to
support the Howard County Food Bank. In these difficult economic
times organizations like the Food Bank have been largely unable to
meet demand so it is especially important that everyone contributes.
