Progressive Grassroots/Lobbyist Training - FREE

WHAT: "D4D on the Road" is a one-day training program facilitated by
the Midwest Academy. Midwest Academy (http://www.midwestacademy.com/)
is a national training institute based in Chicago, IL committed to
advancing the struggle for social, economic, and racial justice. From
local neighborhood groups to statewide and national organizations,
Midwest Academy has trained over 25,000 thousand grassroots activists
from hundreds of organizations and coalitions. Midwest Academy teaches
an organizing philosophy, methods, and skills that enable ordinary
people to actively participate in the democratic process.

WHEN: The workshop will be held at St. Mary's College of Maryland will
be held from 10:00 am to 4:15 pm on Saturday, September 26.

WHY: The training program is designed to help novice and seasoned
organizers develop effective strategies to build and gain power.
