Today, April 9th, is a Northwest Day of Action organized by Students against LNG and supported by the Cascade Climate Network. Please take a moment to call Governor Ted Kulongoski and join students on campuses across the NW who are also calling into the governor to support his opposition to these projects and to urge him to do everything in his power to stop them from moving forward!
You can call at any time of day and make your case against LNG and related pipelines. Below you will find governor contact info and points that can be raised in your phone call.

Possible points to make in your message to the governor:
-Investment in LNG moves our state further away from meeting goals for renewable energy use in the state.
-The pipelines proposed to accompany these LNG projects will devastate Mt. Hood Nat'l Forest, countless waterways and prized agricultural lands throughout the state.
-LNG development stands to threaten traditional use, commerce and habitat on the Columbia River.
-The state has the authority to stop these projects by denying crucial permits to the energy companies - please direct agencies to exercise their full authority to deny these permits.
Also attached is a 4 page info sheet on LNG that can offer you info on specifics of proposed LNG/pipeline infrastructure. This will give you a better understanding of the projects and can help you to make additional/personalized points to the governor.
So please take three minutes out of your day on April 9th and call to leave a message for Gov. Kulongoski that LNG is bad for Oregon! We want him to know that students in the region are getting on board with thousands of Oregon residents who want to see the end of LNG proposals in our state.
Also, due to some printing glitches, we had to reschedule our meeting with Governor Kulnogoski's environmental advisor to deliver the photo petition featuring hundreds of your pretty faces sending a clear message that Oregon youth want clean energy, not LNG. Instead, it looks like we will be delivering the photo petition on Monday, April 14th in Portland.
I
