Job Description:
• PowerShell knowledge to interpret existing automation
• REST API knowledge for vCloud automation
• vCloud and VMWare knowledge
• Solid hands-on experience on software development lifecycles (including working in agile projects).
• 5 + years of experience in Information Technology
• 2 + years of experience in Cloud software development: designing, developing and debugging scalable solutions
• Develop code to automate manual processes using PowerShell and REST API code
• Review and provide improvements to existing code with a emphasis on reliability, error checking, logging and reporting errors.
• Maintain and document all code and changes
• Migrate all VMWare PowerCLI commandlets to REST API Calls
• Assist in long term architecture planning
• Implement changes and features updates leveraging a devops model
• Evaluate and partner with the team's development through strong knowledge of VMWare vCenter, vCloud, NSX Manager and other VMWare suites
• Cross team collaboration
