Hello Comrades! This week is not jam filled with events due to the holiday, but the events are awesome! We hope everyone has happy feeling-awkward-about-the-origins-of-the-holiday-but-still-trying-to-enjoy-the-holiday. #leftistproblems. Also have a great day not participating in excess consumption post-holiday and stand in solidarity with workers everywhere :) ! 

Student Worker Alliance: Help Get Stacey Re-Hired:

On Friday, November 15, 2012, Stacey Lucien, a Secretary within the math department at AU, was fired due. She had been talking with many other staff members at AU about organizing together and forming a union in order to stand up and fight for the rights of AU staff members

But on Friday, the AU administration decided to stifle the right of freedom of association on our campus and illegally fired Stacey. She was escorted off campus by public safety and was not allowed to get any of her things from her office, including her keys.

March to the Provost’s Office: Tuesday at 3:40 – Meet on the steps of Kay.
