We are in need of your help! Orange County Animal Services was notified by the Florida Department of Children and Family Services of a hoarding case in Apopka, Florida involving more than 70 kitties. The owner’s husband passed away 6 months ago and she is overwhelmed. Our Field Enforcement Team has established a relationship with the pet owner and we are wanting to help her in any way we possibly can. On the 26^th we picked up our first batch of kitties (2 litters of moms and kittens) and were successful in finding foster placement.  On the 28^th we picked up our second batch, 16 kitties – two were humanely euthanized due to medical. We currently have 14 still in our care – seven have tested FIV (+) and we are considering the remaining seven as FIV exposed.

 

If you have any room in your rescue to take these kitties, we would greatly appreciate it!

If you have a room available for (30) days to hold onto one (or multiple) of the FIV (+) or FIV exposed kitties - you could bring them back for another combo test to determine whether they are FIV (-) or FIV (+) - we would gladly accept them back into our shelter for the adoption program.  

 

Any type of help from you would be greatly appreciated!!
