Acton-Boxborough Parent Survey
A social norms survey of Acton-Boxborough parents of 6th-12th graders is being conducted by Acton Boxborough Coalition for Healthy Youth (ABCHY) & Community Alliance for Youth (CAFY) in order to identify concrete ways that parents in the community are attempting to create healthy family environments and reduce risky teen behavior. It will also help clarify parent perceptions regarding what other parents in the community are doing to accomplish these goals; and it seeks advice from parents related to what our community should do to more actively promote the health and wellness of our teens and reduce risky teen behavior.
ABCHY and CAFY will make use of the survey data to plan future initiatives that are designed to help parents develop healthy family environments that strengthen parent-teen relationships and promote healthy teen behavior. A summary report of the results of the survey will be made available to the public.
This project is funded through a mini-grant program of the Northwest Suburban Health Alliance/ CHNA 15 DoN funds from Lahey Clinic. ABCHY is supported, in part, by a grant from the Acton-Boxborough United Way.
