Guiding Good Choices As You Parent Teens
Community Alliance for Youth (CAFY) is pleased to announce that it is again sponsoring the “Guiding Good Choices” program for parents of 6 - 8th graders. This four session course will help parents develop the skills they need to ensure the future well-being of their young teens by: learning to communicate effectively; developing strategic conversational guidelines with their teens; developing family guidelines and expectations for behavior; learning how to manage conflict and strengthen family bonds. It will also facilitate creating a parent support network.
This workshop will be taught by Ms. Kathy Bowen, Certified Professional Coach. She taught this class for CAFY last year; and she received “extremely positive” ratings by the participants.
Up to 15 participants will be accepted for the program The classes will meet on Monday mornings between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on April 4, 11, 25 and May 2, at St. Matthews Church, 435 Central Street, Acton
The cost of the program is partially funded by Emerson Hospital. The registration fee is $45, which includes the course workbook.
