Dear Partners

I wanted to ensure you were aware of all of the new funding model informational resources available to you and your in-country staff/consultants.  Please take the time to pass this note along to your constituents who may also find it useful.

We have recently launched a series of online courses to introduce and explain parts of the new funding model. Each e-learning module is on a particular topic, which may be relevant for Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs), technical assistance providers, technical partners, civil society, governments and others.

The courses are available on a dedicated page on the Global Fund website:  http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/fundingmodel/support/elearning/

Four courses are available now:

  • Achieving inclusive country dialogue
  • Civil society engagement
  • Understanding regional applications
  • Eligibility requirements for CCMs

In the coming weeks, additional courses will be available:

  • Program split
  • Counterpart financing and willingness-to-pay
  • Concept note
  • Programmatic gap table
  • Modular template

Courses on grant-making and other topics are planned for the months to come.

The courses include quizzes, videos and practical tips. They last around 15-25 minutes each. They can be taken while connected to the internet or downloaded for offline viewing. There is also a supportive PDF available for download. Eventually, each module will be available in English, French, Spanish and Russian.

In addition, the following materials are also available on the Global Fund website:

I do hope you find this information helpful and pass it along to others who may also appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Lindsay Smith
