From TINA to TINS:
"There Is No Separation"
September 1, 2026 | Open yourself to the Unitive Worldview with Jude Currivan and Grant Storry
Dear Mike,My book Ecocivilization begins with the story of TINA: the acronym for the infamous statement by Margaret Thatcher, "There Is No Alternative," which became a self-fulfilling prophecy that helped to usher in the nightmare of neoliberalism that we're living under. "This book," I write, "constitutes the dethronement of TINA. There is, in fact, an alternative."
As many of us realize here on the DTN, the transformation we need requires a change, not just in areas like economics and governance, but in our underlying worldview. Our capitalist system itself can be understood as the economic manifestation of the dominant worldview of separation arising in early modern Europe that legitimated and glorified ruthless exploitation of others and unlimited extraction of nature’s abundance.
That worldview needs to shift dramatically. But how? Next Tuesday, Sept 1, at 1pm Pacific/9 pm UK, cosmologist Jude Currivan and philosopher-builder Grant Storry will take us through their work at WholeWorld View designed to empower humanity's conscious evolution through the understanding, experiencing, and embodying of unitive awareness.
In Jude's words, we need "the realization of TINS—There Is No Separation!"Jude, who is a co-founder of WholeWorld View, planetary healer, futurist, and author, has been a life-long researcher into the scientific and experiential understanding of the nature of reality. With a Master’s degree in Physics from Oxford University specializing in quantum physics and cosmology, and a PhD in Anthropological Archaeology, she was previously one of the most senior business women in the UK. She has traveled to nearly 80 countries and worked with wisdom keepers from many traditions. In addition to the seven books she has authored, she recently published an important paper with The Club of Rome, The Unitive Science of a Living Universe, which brings together insights from physics, cosmology and systems thinking suggesting that reality may be fundamentally relational.
This perspective points to the nature of Love as something foundational to reality—which is where Grant comes in. Grant helps advance a transdisciplinary framework called the Science Of Unitive Love (SOUL), based on the premise that Love is a universal design and evolutionary principle through which coherence, healing, and regenerative futures emerge at every scale of being. This approach repositions Love not as sentiment, but as a universal organizing principle: capable of regenerating our economic, social, ecological, and technological systems from the ground up. A philosopher-builder and systems healer by nature, Grant actively explores the convergence of pragmatic regeneration, augmented human intelligence (via AI technologies), and wisdom traditions, particularly non-dual teachings.
Having written on similar themes in my earlier book The Web of Meaning: Integrating Science and Traditional Wisdom to Find Our Place in the Universe, I am greatly looking forward to this conversation. Expect us to cover topics such as:
The scientific breakthroughs across numerous fields of research that are turning the mechanistic worldview on its head
What is the relationship between systems thinking and complexity science and the unitive cosmology of physics?
How can the Science of Unitive Love (SOUL) be used as a simple tool to determine when our decisions are in alignment with the unitive realization?
What are the practical ways in which the realization of the Unitive worldview can spread rapidly enough to shift the dominant mindset in the direction that's needed?
As in our usual DTN sessions, we'll spend the first 30 minutes or so in a panel-type discussion. This will be followed by breakout groups, after which there will be another 30 minutes for you to participate directly in a deeper conversation about the Coalition.
At the end of the session, we'll follow up on the success of last month, and hold our Circle of Practice immediately following the session in the same Zoom room. Anyone who has more to share on the topic is invited to stay for further informal conversation, led by Mimu Tsujimura and Larry Berger. The Zoom room will remain open for an extra 45 minutes until 3 pm Pacific.
