Canada will need to consider growing its relations with non-democratic Gulf States

 Faced with the consequences of Trump, Thomas Juneau (UofO) suggests that Canada needs to look beyond its focus on traditional international partners. 

. . . Canada also needs to have a difficult debate on whether its diversification efforts should be limited to democracies. Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trip to the United Arab Emirates this week illustrates this debate.
