Meeting ID: 881 6427 6727
Passcode: 386304

Summary:
My objective is to stimulate insight into the truly significant changes in our Modern Techno-Industrial (MTI) world that have occurred since I was born or are now occurring, especially those that are “blindingly obvious”, i.e. they are simply not there for you until you have learned to see them. I see this probe as a contribution to learning to see, explore and eventually understand the world we have so unconsciously co-created since the end of the 1930s depression. Come play with me. Offer your insights and critiques.
Bio:
Ruben was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada by strong prairie women;
educated at Queen’s University, Kingston, Queen’s Theological College,
Kingston, and United Theological College, Bangalore, India. This
background enabled him to become a Canadian pioneer of serious futures studies
and strategic foresight. He has long pursued his passion to make sense of
our times that is more reliable than the standard views offered to us
today. Ruben has taught at Queen’s and the University of Calgary; worked
for a host of clients in and beyond Canada; and conceived and created new
institutions. Today, he is Executive Director of Foresight Canada,
Secretary Ralph Connor Memorial United Church and a recently retired Director
of CACOR.
