Title: SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN) Developer
Location: 100% Remote (Core working hours aligned to Eastern Time)
Duration:
3–5 month contract (40 hours/week) with strong potential for future identity
and IAM project work.
Overview:
Our client is seeking a SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN) Developer to
join their IAM team during a migration from an on-premises SailPoint
environment to SailPoint IdentityNow (cloud). This individual will serve as the
technical SME responsible for developing, configuring, and deploying identity
governance solutions while partnering with cybersecurity, IT, and business
stakeholders. This is a hands-on development role focused on modernizing the
client's identity platform and automating identity lifecycle management.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement SailPoint IdentityNow
solutions.
- Configure Identity Profiles, Sources, Access Profiles,
Roles, Policies, and Lifecycle Events (Joiner, Mover, Leaver).
- Build and maintain standard and custom SailPoint
connectors.
- Configure and manage integrations with Active Directory
and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Develop provisioning/deprovisioning workflows and
access request processes.
- Create certification campaigns, Segregation of Duties
(SoD) policies, and compliance reporting.
- Integrate IDN with Workday and other enterprise
applications using REST APIs, JDBC, web services, and additional connector
types.
- Develop automation using BeanShell, PowerShell, Python,
and SailPoint transforms.
- Support governance, compliance, documentation, and IAM
best practices.
- Troubleshoot connector, provisioning, and workflow
issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and mentor junior
team members as needed.
Required
Qualifications:
- 5–6 years of IAM experience with at least several years
of hands-on SailPoint development.
- Strong experience with SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN).
- Experience migrating from on-prem SailPoint to
IdentityNow is highly desirable.
- Expertise with Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) lifecycle
workflows.
- Experience with Identity Profiles, Sources, Access
Profiles, Roles, Policies, Certifications, and SoD.
- Hands-on experience integrating Active Directory and
Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience developing or configuring SailPoint connectors.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, JDBC, and
enterprise application integrations.
- Scripting experience with BeanShell, PowerShell,
Python, or Bash.
- Understanding of authentication protocols including
OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, LDAP, and Kerberos.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- SailPoint Certified IdentityNow Engineer certification.
- CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or other IAM/security
certifications.
- Experience with Workday integrations.
- DevOps or Agile experience.
- Experience with RBAC and ABAC design.
- Banking or financial services experience.
- Knowledge of FFIEC compliance requirements.
Ideal
Candidate:
- 5–6 years of IAM experience with strong SailPoint
IdentityNow development expertise.
- Has participated in or led SailPoint cloud migration
projects.
- Comfortable building custom connectors and automating
identity lifecycle processes.
- Strong Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
experience.
- Someone who can immediately contribute with minimal
ramp-up and communicate effectively with both technical and business
stakeholders.
- Must be a legitimate, technically strong candidate, as
the client has experienced challenges with fraudulent or misrepresented
SailPoint candidates.
