Job Summary: The person will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining multiple dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. 

The candidate will need to gain a deep understanding of the relevant enterprise data models, operational systems and enterprise data warehouse to design and deliver impactful, strategic, analytic, and reporting solutions to enhance critical business processes. This hands-on role requires critical thinking, strong technical skills, and the ability to execute and deliver.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Build effective and visually pleasing dashboards/reports to represent the story to answer those business questions with the help of data. 

·        Analyze data and present information through informative visuals and reports to aid decision-making. 

·        Extract data from SQL databases and other data sources and combine to create a data model. 

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify opportunities for data-driven insights.

·        Develop and maintain technical documentation.

·        Develop unit test-cases and execute, share results.

·        Perform peer code review and implement optimized queries for faster dashboard load times. 

·        Apply best practices through the development lifecycle. 

·        Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields

·        3+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer with expertise in DAX queries, M queries, data visualization, gateways, and connectors.

·        Expert creating different visualizations using Slicers, Lines, Pies, Histograms, Maps, Scatter, Bullets, Heat Maps, Tree maps, etc.

·        Microsoft PowerBI Data Analyst certification is a plus.

·        Working and hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sharepoint. 

·        Expertise in writing SQL queries and data extraction using ODBC
