JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Change Manager, M&A Integration is responsible for driving the people-side change management strategy for active mergers, acquisitions, and integrations across CBRE. This role partners across Integration Management Office (IMO), People, Finance, Fleet, Digital & Technology (D&T), and other cross-functional workstreams to build a comprehensive understanding of the employee, manager, and operational changes required to bring acquired populations onto CBRE systems, processes, and policies.
The role builds and executes communication and training strategies that prepare the organization for cutover, drives leadership engagement and change adoption, and establishes the hypercare and feedback mechanisms that ensure a smooth, well-supported transition for impacted employees and managers. This is a highly cross-functional, deadline-driven role requiring strong stakeholder management, structured problem-solving, and the ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity and change.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with integration workstreams across IMO, People, Finance, Fleet, D&T, and other functions to build a comprehensive view of the employee, manager, and operational changes planned for cutover to CBRE systems, processes, and policies.
• Evaluate how proposed changes will affect day-to-day operations, identify at-risk teams and populations, and map key stakeholders across impacted business segments.
• Develop a global communication and training timeline and plan to prepare the organization for integration, accounting for field schedules, virtual and in-person work locations, volume of change and required training, and differing business segment impacts.
• Drive leadership engagement and adoption by coaching business and people leaders to act as visible, credible change champions who effectively support their teams through the transition.
• Partner with workstream leads and the IMO to draft clear, audience-appropriate communication materials, including talking points for corporate functions and frontline managers.
• Facilitate the scheduling, coordination, and execution of employee and manager training sessions in support of cutover readiness.
• Develop the hypercare timeline and support model to ensure impacted employees and managers have the resources and support needed in the weeks following go-live.
• Establish success metrics and a structured feedback process to measure change readiness, adoption, and post-cutover sentiment, and to inform continuous improvement across future integrations.
• Identify risks and issues related to change readiness and escalate proactively to integration leadership with recommended mitigation plans.
• Maintain change management tools, templates, and playbooks to drive consistency and efficiency across concurrent integration activity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field required; relevant certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in change management, HR, or communications, with direct experience supporting M&A integration, large-scale transformation, or system/process cutover events strongly preferred.
• Experience operating in a matrixed, cross-functional environment with multiple concurrent workstreams and competing deadlines.
Knowledge and Skills
• Strong understanding of change management methodologies and frameworks, with the ability to tailor approach to audience, geography, and business segment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex operational and technical change into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders and managers without direct authority.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple integration timelines simultaneously.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the ability to structure and drive clarity across complex, fast-moving deal environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and familiarity with survey, LMS, or communication platforms used to support training and feedback collection.
• Global mindset with sensitivity to regional and business segment nuances, including field-based and frontline workforce considerations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a remote, U.S.-based role; candidates in Eastern or Central time zones are preferred to support overlap with global stakeholders and business hours. This is a temporary position through February 2027, with the option to extend based on business need and ongoing deal activity. Occasional travel may be required to support training delivery, or on-site integration events.
