Location:  2X A WEEK ON-SITE IN BENTONVILLE, AR

DURATION: 6 MONTH RIGHT-TO-HIRE

Visa: H1B - PP No. Mandatory

 

PROJECT:

Migration - Connexus - in VB.Net, .Net 4.2 Code from VB to C#

This is going to be a precursor - refactoring the code. The ground work for the migration.

VB.Net / C# experience

Store procedures and triggers

Modernization needs

Moving stored procedures to C# services code

 

SKILL SETS:

•            .Net exp - version 4+

•            VB.Net or C#

•            Relational database - theyre in informix right now

•            Triggers/stored procedures

•            Object oriented programming

•            FE/UI: MVC

•            Windows/Winforms/TCP

 

MUST HAVES:

Walmart former and/or TEKsystems former

Pharmacy/health experience

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Walmart Health is hiring several .Net Developers to join their teams and upskill their skill ability. They are looking for senior developers that think out side of the box and like to work on challenging problems to solve. They want developers who have shown their ability to influence the engineering environment in their previous roles and want to join the Walmart team at the end of their contract to continue being innovative and making a difference.

 

We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large project environment and a strong development background in .NET along with experience in Informix DB, Kafka, Cloud Implementation architecture and a proven track record of delivering high-quality scalable software applications. You will collaborate with our product team, architects, tech lead and team to design, develop and enhance a reliable and easy-to-maintain infrastructure.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Software Engineer III, you will provide hands-on coding expertise with an aptitude for technical leadership to provide feature development and modernization of Walmart’s core Pharmacy fulfillment application.

You will work closely with Product, Quality Assurance, and Technology Teams to ensure the highest level of stakeholder and end-user satisfaction.

You will be a critically important member of the application development team in software design, coding, implementation, upholding our architectural patterns, coding standards, quality principles, and customer focus.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Expert level experience with .NET service and thick-client software development

SQL and no-SQL databases such as Informix, DB2, Hadoop, Cassadra, and Cosmos DB

Demonstrated experience with design and testing patterns.

Aptitude for Test Driven Development and leveraging Unit Testing

Exposure to Kafka or other high volume, low latency messaging infrastructure

Solid experience in building and consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs

Practical exposure to Agile Methodologies

Good understanding of CI/CD

Good experience with any public cloud platforms and cloud native services

Ability to perform in a team environment and ready to take ownership.

True passion for technology, love to continuously learn and strive for excellence.

Great communication/collaboration skills

Healthcare domain knowledge is a huge plus.
