Role Summary
The Guidewire Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementation and enhancement programs. This client-facing role requires strong delivery governance, stakeholder management, and hands-on program control across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter initiatives while coordinating with business stakeholders, system integrators, and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities Delivery & Program Management
- Own end-to-end delivery including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and timelines.
- Lead large-scale Guidewire implementations, upgrades, and transformation programs.
- Drive project planning, sprint execution, milestone tracking, and release management.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for client business and IT stakeholders.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings, executive reviews, and status reporting.
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, issues, and escalations.
Team & Vendor Coordination
- Lead cross-functional teams including Guidewire developers, integration teams, QA, and business analysts.
- Coordinate on-site, offshore, and near-shore delivery teams.
- Manage relationships with system integrators, vendors, and implementation partners.
Risk, Quality & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, security standards, and internal controls.
- Drive defect management, quality assurance, and UAT sign-offs.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Monitor project budgets, burn rates, and forecasting.
- Manage scope changes, change requests, and commercial discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical & Domain Expertise
- Strong experience managing Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations, including:
- PolicyCenter
- BillingCenter
- ClaimCenter
- Deep understanding of P&C insurance processes, including policy lifecycle, claims, and billing.
- Experience with Guidewire integrations, data migration, and cloud/on-premise deployments.
Project Leadership
- Proven experience in Agile and/or hybrid delivery models.
- Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead distributed, multi-vendor teams effectively.
Tools & Methodologies
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications.
- Prior client-facing experience in large insurance transformation programs.
- Experience working with Tier-1 insurers or global insurance organizations.
