Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer/Data Analytics Consultant to support the Enterprise Data Management and Analytics (EDMA) team. The primary focus of this role is the migration of approximately 400 IBM Cognos reports to Microsoft Power BI and the development of new dashboards and reporting solutions. The consultant will also provide production support, analytics, and reporting enhancements while ensuring adherence to data governance and ADA Title II accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate existing IBM Cognos reports to Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, scorecards, and metrics.
• Develop reporting solutions using Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and enhancements.
• Create Power BI usage reports and analytical metrics to support business needs.
• Collaborate with business analysts, customers, and team leads to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in Power BI workspace architecture, security design, version control, and documentation processes.
• Ensure all solutions comply with organizational data governance standards and ADA Title II accessibility requirements.
• Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines and priorities.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI, including development of dashboards, reports, scorecards, graphs, filters, prompts, and metrics.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• 3+ years of experience with IBM Cognos.
• Strong experience with Oracle DBMS, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with report migration and data analytics solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of current and emerging data management and analytics technologies.
• Experience with Power BI workspace architecture and security.
• Familiarity with higher education data and Student Information Systems (SIS).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
