Job Description:
Role Summary

The Oracle EBS SCM / EAM Architect serves as the senior technical authority for Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) within Oracle E-Business Suite. This role combines deep hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership and project delivery oversight.

 

The initial focus of this role will be supporting Client of Saudi Arabia (KSA) enablement projects, providing architectural leadership and technical direction to ensure successful deployment and EBS operational readiness within the region.

 

The position is expected to provide direction from day one, operating primarily as an architect and technical leader rather than a pure developer. While capable of hands-on work, the primary responsibility is solution design, technical governance, and leading development teams through complex initiatives.

 

This role operates in a distributed global environment and requires strong experience working with remote project teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and business leaders across regions. The architect must be comfortable with driving alignment, facilitating design sessions, and providing technical oversight in a virtual collaboration model.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Review and understand existing architecture assume end-to-end technical architecture ownership for Oracle EBS SCM and EAM solutions
  • Provide L3-level expertise across SCM and EAM modules
  • Review and understand existing development standards, coding frameworks, and integration patterns
  • Ensure scalable, secure, and supportable solutions aligned to enterprise standards
  • Review and approve technical designs and solution approaches

2. Project Delivery Leadership

  • Lead development workstreams across Oracle EBS SCM/EAM initiatives
  • Provide technical direction from project initiation through go-live
  • Partner with functional leads and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs
  • Oversee build, integration, testing, and deployment activities
  • Mitigate technical risks and drive issue resolution

3. Development Oversight

  • Guide and mentor development team members; team members include company badged employees and contractors
  • Perform technical reviews of PL/SQL, workflows, interfaces, conversions, and customizations
  • Ensure compliance with Oracle best practices and enterprise governance standards
  • Step in for complex hands-on development when required
  • Operate within and enhance established architecture and development standards

4. Integration & Ecosystem Alignment

  • Architect integrations between EBS and external systems
  • Define interface strategies (inbound/outbound, APIs, middleware, data migration)
  • Ensure alignment with broader ERP, cloud migration, or modernization initiatives

5. Governance & Standards

  • Enforce solution design documentation standards
  • Support audit, compliance, and change management requirements
  • Participate in environment strategy and release management planning

 

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of Oracle EBS experience
  • Deep L3 expertise in:
    • Oracle SCM (Inventory, BOM, WIP, Purchasing, Order Management, Costing)
    • Oracle EAM
  • Demonstrated experience leading Oracle EBS development teams
  • Experience serving in Architect or Lead Developer capacity
  • Proven ability to lead technical design sessions and solution workshops
  • Strong project leadership experience across medium to large-scale ERP initiatives
