What caught my attention from Sieg is their new Nano lathe, mill & drill. They're small - the lathe is a 4x4 which is barely larger than the Clisby was - and while the lathe bed looks kind of like a WW watchmaker's lathe bed they are likely nowhere near as precise. It looks like they use the same components for the different configurations which is nice for construction economy but from what I can see they don't offer a set that just has the parts needed to build the different configurations without duplication.
One or two people are auctioning them on eBay but I would rather find somewhere that actually sells them and with whom I can correspond first. My new digs are about 1/2 as big as my previous ones were and I'd be hard pressed to even put a C0 in here now much as I'd like to. The Nano appears to be sized about right to fit my new needs plus being able to reconfigure it as several different tools like the Unimat DB-200/SL-1000 fits my needs perfectly.
In the meantime, though ... what's the going rate for a used (and maybe slightly abused) C0?
Best regards,
Kludge
