First be sure exactly what you hope to produce on a CNC C0 Andre.

It has been done, by member Jon Allitt, but for a very specific task where
neither accuracy nor longevity were important.

I have started a Page on Jon's machine but have neglected to finish it.
Here are two pictures to give you an idea of what he did.

One is of the lathe doing what lathes do best.
The other is a set of starship thrusters that he made.

Hello David,

Thanks a lot, for the information provided, It will be a good start
point to me.
In my case I will use the lathe to manufacture wedding rings, I'm
goldsmith. maybe I am trying to use a bazooka to kill a ant, but I
appreciate your advice I will analise very carefully the costs involved
and the technical details .

Thanks again

Andr

Actually that sounds good Andr !

Are you machining precious metals or casting wax?

I use mine mostly for turning wood, or for turning metal with hand tools.

I've done it or rather had it done by a local machine shop. It uses
nema 17 motors and runs like a champ. I mainly use it to cut joystick
hats for a client out of delrin. I have a YouTube channel but the
videos are poor quality. Maybe this weekend I'll finally get the time
to upload a new one. Search for middyeasy
It uses mach3 and a 5 axis controller I had bought off eBay along with
a 32 volt power supply. I love the thing and just looking for an
excuse to do more with it.

It really is very easy to do mechanical wise and the machine shop jb
machine still has the drawings and said he would be willing to
convert more.
