Hi,
I thought I'd try sharing a few pics of a threading
attachment I put together using C1 gears. I've only cut aluminum so far,
but it actually appears to work. And tons of fun to put
together. I made most fittings using the C0.

Well done, Jim!!! Looks like a straight forward project. Is there
any way you could provide more photos of the gear bracket? This looks
like such a simple way to add thread-cutting ability to the C-0. (By-
the-way, how much did the gear set cost?).

Hey thanks SERCEFLYER,
I'll try to post more pictures but I first need to learn how to reduce
the filesize of jpegs. Do you happen to know how I'd do that?
I bought the C1 imperial gearset from Arc Euro Trade, which would be a
great deal if I lived in Europe. But the shipping costs to USA made
the final price about $34 US by my calculations. The C3 gear set that
LittleMachineShop sells ends up being about the same price I think.
That set would work but the hubs and gearshafts would need to be made
12mm diameter rather than 10mm for the C1 set. 10mm is more
convenient for me because I have a 10mm collet I can use during
machining.
