I can't say that I have had any problems with mine (although it was bought a few years ago now). It might be worth phoning arceurotrade and discuss it with them to see if they have any ideas? If you turn the autofeed by hand, is it easy to turn?

i have purchased qne of these lathes and it is brilliant piece of equipment and does all i require, when i recieved the lathe a stripped down and cleaned it parrafin as instruceted, I then set it up and used it turn some pieces for my model boats that i make the finish was not as good as it could have been and i put this down to hand feeding so I bought the autofeed atachment, the one that i got was faulty and i recieved another asap from arceurotrade, I fitted this one and it was perfect and moved smoothly and i turned the piece i was working on i did the first pass cutting approximatly 0010th of a cut this was done perfect i took a second cut same depth 0010th and halfway through the cut the belt snapped on the feed I put a new one on and finished the second pass, I then proceeded to the third cut same depth 0010th and again the belt snapped the material i was cutting was aluminum what am i doing wrong. I think these belts are made of the wrong material??????
