Has anyone come across a way of fitting a proper 4 jaw wood chuck
rather than the 4 jaw metal chuck you can buy at Arc Euro trade?

I was just trying to investigate some options, like possibly using an
insert to convert the threads or could you use a backplate?

Options are cost dependant as it may not be worth it if the cost is
too high.

At the moment I can either turn between centres or rough down and then
use the supplied 3 jaw chuck.

If I did go for the Arc Euro Trade 4 jaw chuck, of the two options - 4
jaw self centering and 4 jaw independant, which is the best one?
Wondered why the self centering is £20 more expensive.

I'm mostly using pen blanks.

Thanks,

Jennifer

I recently asked the same thing on a Unimat forum, but no one had
apparently tried it.
It seems like it would be possible to make a backplate/adapter but the
problem could be the overhang as the chuck would stick out quite a bit.
This is the chuck I would like to try:
