Hi there,

I would like to ask a more general question, as in, does anyone have
any Rubik's cube inspiration or examples? This is for my University
work and I only have about ten days to do it, I have the 27 cubes
loaded, and of course rotation is easy, but there are more issues such
as user interface etc.

Am I being to vague? I think, yes is the answer, but if anyone has any
help I would be most grateful - especially if someone has written
something similar. It's my last piece of work and I am looking forward
to my break!

Thank you for that!

It may have seemed obvious but it kind of inspired me to have a
transparent square block around the selected cubes - I was going to use
lights, but it's best to start simple...I've not used spotlight effects
before - maybe after I mastered it this way. Thank you.

Ok, I was a little ahead of myself talking about spotlights - I can't
even get the rotation right now...It's all going pair shaped. If
anybody writes me a Rubik's cube game I'll give them mulah! Yes mulah!

Do I sound desperate? I am.

Ok, so now I am making progress...BUT! When I rotate the top of the
cube it throws the original local origins off on each cube! Anyone know
how to restore the old one? By this i mean, if you rotate about the
local y axis - to rotate the top of the cube - all the little cubes are
then pointing in the wrong direction and the origins are gone! So
having rearranged some pointers to my meshes the right cubes rotate but
in the wrong direction.

Appologies if I seem a bit simple...I assume there is a way not to mess
with the origins.

I gave up. I made my flying car shoot things and put snow in too. I am
happy.

A solo topic Ash :D

You've inspired me to try the cube too
