I have been writing games in C++ win32. I have several games that I
have created. I started in Perl then moved to C++ then win32. I have
done a few things with DirectX but find it too complicated or it could
be my resource Game programming Guru. It seems to be more C than C++
and can be hard to follow. Windows game programming is a good resource
for me and has been realy helpful.

The thing is that I program in a vaccuum having no school or associates
to judge my work. I am pretty impressed with what I can do and have
done but I am not sure how my skills stack up in relation to other
programmers. I also like the criticizm that I get and how I can do
things better. Yes, progamming is alot of work but I enjoy it.

Currently I have created a proto-board game. I have created a map and
can move pieces on that map. Still I have quite a bit to do and I am
not sure what to do next.

If you like I can send you the game or a screen shot of it. Basically
I created a map with different terrain and put pieces on that map and
they move around and there are different costs to differnt kinds of
terrain. I have yet to create combat system or computer player. It is
easy to create different maps add terrain and kinds of units.
