Next meeting

Hey everyone,

I will not be in town on April 4th that was the date for our next
meeting. How about this thursday, April 2nd instead? Otherwise we
could do it the next weekend? Please let me know your availability.

And keep up the good work messaging people, there are only about one
or two chunks left for us to contact and the emails have been coming
into the gmail account.

I can only do after work Monday, Tuesday and sometimes Fridays. In terms of the weekend of April 10, 11, 12. I am unavailable because its Holy Week and Easter and i have family flying in from Belgium, Florida and my dad, from Africa. So ill be busy with them that whole time. But if other ppl are available then i have no problem just reading the minutes.

I can't really do weekdays since I don't want to get stuck traveling
with Katherine during NY-NJ rush hour and I have the feeling most
likely everyone will be available in the evening rather than mid-day.
I still haven't tried to get around public transportation with
Katherine and I'd rather not try it for the first time during rush
hour, but if I could avoid rush hour during the weekday I think I'd be
willing to go in with Katherine. I'm not sure if the next weekend
works for me yet, but I'll keep everyone posted. Is there any way to
keep it for the 4th assuming it works out for everyone else? Could a
more detailed agenda be made including your views etc. and perhaps
have Jessica kind of preside over it since she was at the last
meeting?

This Thursday works better for me than Sat. (I really really feel bad
about missing these meetings, but I found today I have to work on most
Saturdays until the end of April. so unfortunately I don't think I can
make weekend meetings in April unless people can meet in Queens. =\ )

I'm pretty sure I can make sometime Thursday after work but not sure
when I am getting out yet. IF we end up switching to Thursday, please
let me know and I'll get back to you on what time works for me.

Hey guys,

So I think the total between the 6 of us, because we are the only
people who have replied, is that three can make it this saturday and
three can make it on Thursday. Since only two of us came last thing,
I think it is best if we try to push it until we find a time that
works for as many people as possible if that is alright with everyone,
but if you guys want to go ahead and meet with only 3 people, then we
can do that too. Or we can have two meetings this week, but that may
be too much.

Sorry about making the suggestion for that next weekend, I forgot
about the holidays. What about the following Monday, April 13th or
Tuesday the 14th, after rush hour/work?

Another option is that since we all have gmail we could do a gchat
group chat this time (possibily on Thursday?), so everyone can at
least get their points across without meeting in person, and just plan
the next in person meeting for soon after, like the following weekend,
April 18th?

i can't do a gmail chat this thursday; i have a work function to
attend after i get out, so i may not be back until late.

also, i have gotten some really good feedback as well as proposals for
where we can have. i think i will stop outreach at this point and at
the next in-person meeting April 18 (PLEASE attend if you can), we
will decide on some sort of final venues, before they become
unavailable. also, we will need to start doing invites and such so we
can put down any down payment for the reunion.

I just noticed that I probably won't be able to make it for a few
Saturdays. The 18th I found out Po already bought tickets since we
usually go to a baseball game after tax season is over. Then in May
the only Saturday I have free is the 2nd since we'll be in Taiwan most
of the month and then the last weekend we'll be in Boston for Po's 5
year college reunion. Which brings me to another point, I don't know
how much computer access I'll have while in Taiwan since we're mainly
there to visit family. On the bright side, the week of the 13th-17th
of April it's Spring break for NYC public schools so most likely my
mom will be around here at some point and can watch Katherine. Other
than that since busy season is almost over after around the 15th Po
should be back by 5 so it would be easier for me to go to NYC during
the weekdays if in the evening. Oh yeh and my laptop died so I keep
stealing Po's computer during the day, evenings it's all his so if we
google chat I probably can't join in unless before 5pm or after
12-1am.

up that date as the next meeting.
It seems like a few people might not be able to make it and since it
is so far off, so what about the week before in the evenings?

Jessica--would you not be able to meet on the, 13th or 14th after
work? I know you get out late, so if not then I understand.

If our next in person meeting is that far from now (the 18th), I think
we should organize a time when a few of us should go over some issues
online (sometime in the two weeks before), because we need to get
things moving as you all know. Eventually a few of us need to go to a
bank to open the bank account with our share of the costs. That would
be a good activity for the 18th before our meeting (our meeting would
have to be a little earlier since banks typically close by 1 pm) and
that would be awesome, and I will begin to ask some banks about
creating accounts for these purposes (Sovereign Bank and Bank of
America, and suggestions from you guys about other banks?). We would
just need a few people to open the account initially and we could just
add people's names and signatures later on.

Carla, what is your availability since you volunteered to help out
with the invitations? If you cannot make it to these meeting times, we
can just send you the invitation information later on.

O shit, guys I'm so sorry, I just realized that i will not be in the
city on April 18, i will be in Boston for the Marathon (cheering, not
running). I CAN meet on 13/14, as long as it's after 6/6.30 - i can
just get in early on whichever date we decide on, so I can leave on
time. Also, whoever can make it, i can show you some of the venue
proposals, and Danielle, i can update you on the place A. Orphanides
suggested via FB wall.

Let's try to make it for Monday, April 13th at 7pm or 8pm? Or how
about Tuesday the 14th at 7pm or 8pm?? EVERYONE, please let us know
which time works best for you, as this is the meeting where we intend
to decide on the venue, etc.

Also, Jessica, when you provide the information for each venue, can
you make sure to note if we have to pay extra for gratuity and those
kinds of fees, and how much they are.
