March and April Meeting Minutes

Hi All,

Here are the meeting minutes for March and April. 

3-7 Meeting Minutes

Attendees:

Jason, Brandon, Bruce, Bob, Steve, Dillon, Sean, Evan, Ryan, Jake

-Evan gave a recap of the previous meeting and then told everyone about the upcoming events

-Next meeting: Dark Lager tasting. Look for commercial examples

-Wildrye tour 3/30 @4:00

-27^th Annual big brew day on may 4^th

o   Interest in doing this again this year?

o   Brewer and location TBD (Jason offered to host at New Ventures)

-Iron Brewer at Steve’s. Date TBD.

-Who will host next several meetings?

o   April – Brandon

o   May – Evan

-Homebrew Comp June 8

o   Drop off window May 24-June 5.

-Club Campout June 28-30 at Spire Rock

-Evan recapped last meeting

-New items

               -Evan asked if we wanted to do a club only comp in the fall

                              -There was interest for doing this Nov. Need to move the off-flavor tasting to Oct.

                              -Use BJCP as guidelines, but comp would be less formal

                              - 1 beer per person

-Next meeting at Evan’s house

-Iron Brewer 5-18 at Steve’s

-Katabatic Comp is June 8^th

               -Drop off window May 15- June5th

-Loy Might not be at the comp. Brandon said he was willing to fill in.
