Dear all,
For those of you who did not make it to the Schumacher Conference
yesterday...
The take-home message from an excellent presentation by Bill McKibben
is 350! Not 350 trillion or billion or million pounds lost in
collapsed banks and sinking stock-markets but 350 ppm CO2.
350 ppm is what produces a safe planet - according to a series of new
papers by Jim Hansen and colleagues at NASA. We are at 384 and rising
1 ppm about every 5 months...
What to do? Join the 350 movement

organise 350 events - 350 Bristolians on College Green, 350 kite
flyers on the Downs, 350 pennies in a jar, 350 bankers in jail, 350
children kicking footballs, plant 350 trees...
Do dump the web link into your address book and raise awareness of the
350 movement.
The 350 culmination event will be on October 26 next year - globally!
