LCWP ! Spartan Boosters membership recruitment

Dear LCHS Aquatics Family,
As many of you may know, I have been active with the LCHS Spartan Boosters program for many years.
The Spartan Boosters basically raise money through various membership levels and annual events (Fall Booster Fest, Spring Poker Bash or Golf Tourney). They raise approximately $100,000 per year, and this money is reallocated to the various LCHS Activities (7/8, Extracurricular, Athletics & Academics).
Bill Stoner, 2012/2013 Booster President, has asked me to recruit more Spartan Booster members from the LCHS Aquatics program. As you can see by the data below, the Aquatics program is getting more than its fair share of Booster $, as our focused donations are less than 10% of what we receive from the Spartan Boosters.
In 2011/2012, the Spartan Boosters gave the Aquatics Program $15,444, while the Aquatics program families total “focused donations” were $944.

o Focused Contribution - $317
o LCHS Boosters Donation - $4,817
- Water Polo (Girls)
o Focused Contribution - $80
o LCHS Boosters Donation - $4,080
- Swimming (Boys)
o Focused Contribution - $232

- Swimming (Girls)

The Spartan Booster funding is paramount for the success of the LCHS Aquatics program.
LCHS Boys & Girls Water Polo allocates funds towards for tournament fees, referees, team supplies (caps, goal backing and repairs, etc.).
Boys and Girls Swimming expenditures include Invitational fees (Palm Springs, Beverly Hills), meet officials, and various supplies & repairs (lane lines, timing systems, kick boards, buoys, etc.).
Beginning this year, a Spartan Booster donor can focus up to 50% of the membership fee to a specified organization (ie. Aquatics program). After the 1st $500 donation, 100% can be focused to a specific program. Generally speaking, there will be more $ for those who participate, and much less for school programs that don’t donate to Spartan Boosters.
Benefits of belonging to LCHS Boosters:
- $ to our aquatics program
- 50% goes to “focused” donation
- 100% can be focused above $500 membership
- At the $350+ level, (2) free tickets to Fall or Spring event ($150 value)
For example, as a $350 Spartan Club member, $175 can be focused directly to the Aquatics program, and the member will get two (2) Booster fest or Poker Bash tickets, along with (2) free passes to Home LCHS Football and Basketball games ---- there is tremendous value with this membership!
I urge you to join Spartan Boosters as a “Spartan Club” member (or higher). Please note that all donations and any level of participation will be greatly appreciated!
