Hi,

I hope everyone is faring all right in spite of the rough weather out there. If anyone needs help, please let us know, in case a local person has help or advice to offer.

For help with rat rescuing please check: http://www.rescueme.org/
You may also input a zip code to petfinder.com > Search for a pet rat (small and furry) > The results show local rescues that accept rats.

Take care and stay in touch,

Raquel

It's been a tough time for Boulder and Northeastern Colorado. Lives have been lost and homes have been destroyed. And the water continues to run onto the Eastern Plains, causing flooding over 190 miles away from its origin. Imagine a giant tsunami that keeps going, causing destruction as it travels downhill.

Thank you for your concerns. Thousands have been airlifted out of their homes by the National Guard and troops from Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs. Colorado has bentonite not too far below the soil. Bentonite is notoriously hard, like clay, and the water can't soak in, so it just keeps moving.

Prayers are always welcome.

Cindy

Thank you so much! Cleanup is underway. The Blackhawk helicopters and Chinook helicopters are mostly heading back to their bases, with a couple staying on to do searches. It will be a year before things are semi-back to normal. Sigh.
