This Wednesday, our speaker will be Irene Donahue, who will inform us of the work done by Intercambio Uniting Communities.   Thanks to Gary Phippen for arranging this program. 

We will NOT be voting on bylaws this week, as we were working from the wrong set of bylaws.  The bylaws committee will be working on revisions this week, and we expect to have them ready for review by the board within a week or so after that.

Please make sure to register to Volunteer for the Bolder Boulder.  Marty is requesting a total of 8 people and I think we had 3-4 volunteers so far. I had a fabulous time last year with Bill Ashbee and I hope this year is even better. 

SAVE THE DATES:

Citizenship awards will be held on May 13th and 20th at the Elks Club.  These are amazing events and the kids are so inspiring.  Please plan to come out and support these amazing kids.  More details to come.

Newsday Tuesday New Young Adult Optimist Program   Optimist International has launched a new Young Adult Optimist Program! The Board of Directors created this innovative virtual club model to bridge the gap for Junior Optimists graduating high school, allowing them to stay connected and continue their Optimist journeys no matter where life takes them. The first Club was organized on April 21, 2024, with 23 members from five U.S. states, Canada, Ireland, Algeria and Nepal. The Global Young Adult Optimist Club will meet bi-weekly online. This pilot program is open to individuals who have graduated from high school up to age 30 and carries an annual membership fee of $30, similar to the College Club structure.
